The famous Pakistani TikTok influencer Alina Amir has filed a police case against those responsible for making her AI-generated fake video. She registered a First Information Report (FIR) in the concerned police station, and thanked the Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, the Chairperson of the Punjab Women Protection Authority and a Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) of the Punjab, Hina Pervaiz Butt, for listening to her concerns and taking immediate action. The TikToker also appreciated the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) for taking prompt action.
Statement by Alina Amir
In a post at X, Alina Amir released a video statement saying, “As I told you all, I will not sit quietly. I will raise my voice for myself. So, I am here to tell you all that by the grace of Allah, Alhamdulillah, an FIR has been registered.
And against those people who made my deepfake AI video, who spread it, who shared links in different groups, and made WhatsApp groups, I have registered an FIR against all of them. And all of them will be made a sign of the lesson.
By thanking CM Punjab, she said, “I would like to thank our CM, Mam Maryam Nawaz Sahiba and Mam Hina Pervaiz Butt, who personally handled this case. And special thanks to NCCIA, who registered my FIR so quickly.”
Message to girls
By addressing the girls, Alina said, “I am here to raise my voice for the girls who cannot raise their voices themselves. Who are scared that my deepfake AI video has been made and sent to my family. My life will be ruined. But no, if you are honest, then no one can scare you. No one can stop your voice if you are honest. If I wanted, I would have let go of this case. Because people forget that the case ends after a week or two.”
In her video message, Alina Amir insisted, “Why should I stay quiet? If I am honest, then why would I stay quiet? If it were me today, then it could be another girl the next day. I will not forgive any of the people who did such a thing and tried to ruin a girl’s life. I will send them to jail.
She raised her voice by highlighting the major issue and said, “There will be many more girls like me, whose deepfake AI video has been made. Their reputation and character would have been ruined. But I thank God that God has given me the strength to raise my voice for myself. And I say this to all the girls, please raise your voice for yourself. If your reputation or character is at stake, then don’t tolerate it. Because if you are not wrong, then the one who is doing wrong with you should be punished.”
“There should be a punishment so strict that people think a hundred times before doing something like this. If you make an AI video of someone, you should know there will be consequences. I am not someone who backs down. I will take this to the very end. Everyone involved will be held accountable: those who said the video was real, those who shared it, those who posted links, and those who created WhatsApp groups. All of them are equally responsible. This action is so that no one dares to do this to any other girl. Anyone thinking of doing this should ask themselves what will happen to them. In the end, justice is in God’s hands,” she said.
