Things to carry while traveling to Thailand from India

Traveling abroad is a great joy. But it always needs some brainstorming to plan out things systematically. #1. Visa

This is an important document that you must consider upfront, soon after deciding on your trip. Having this document ready beforehand will benefit immensely. #2. Passport

The reason being it is one of the most important documents that you should prepare and carry on your trip. Additionally, it is always good to carry two extra copies of your passport to avoid any inconvenience. In case if your passport is lost, you can easily go for a replacement using copies.

Before you fly to Thailand, make sure to get your debit card activated for international banking services from your concerned bank branch in India. If not done, you may be left stranded as your debit card won’t work in Thailand then. Additionally, it is recommended to get your local currency exchanged for Thai Baht in India only. This is because exchange counters at the airport charge you an exorbitant fee and exchange rate. So, if you are one of those smart travel planners, ensure to manage your money properly. Diversify your money, carry at least 40% of your expense as cash, and if possible use a Forex card. 

#4. First Aid Needs

No matter where you travel, a first aid kit should always accompany you. Basic health issues can arise anytime therefore it is better to stay prepared in advance. And when in Thailand, it is unlikely to miss adventure activities. With this a simple cut and bruises are common, but these can be easily self-managed in case if you carry a first aid kit. Besides this, in case you follow some daily medication, carry a sufficient amount for your entire trip. Remember to carry your prescription to avoid any issues at the airport security check.

While travel insurance is not mandatory in Thailand, it is really necessary because it is your safety ticket to enjoy worry-free travel. Clothing for Thailand 

Ideally, the weather in Thailand is hot and humid. It’s rarely cold there. Therefore, it is good to pack lightweight and fast-drying outfits. However, if you have planned to visit temples then you are expected to dress modestly. For that purpose, don’t forget to carry a dress that covers your shoulders and knees.

In addition to the above-mentioned things, you will certainly need the following items on your tour to Thailand:

  • Sunscreen: You will be definitely visiting beaches and performing water adventures in Thailand so sunscreen is recommended to avoid skin tan. LED flashlight: If you have planned to trek mountains and camp in jungles, a LED flashlight is all you need. 
  • Sunglasses: These are essential to protect your eyes from sun, dirt, and dust. More importantly, wearing them you can get some good pictures clicked for a memorable experience.
